Wingate is pleased to announce that ‘Melbourne Walk’, a landmark mixed-use development backed by Wingate and CapitaLand Investment (CLI), is now officially open to the public. This significant project, worth in excess of $400m, is the first new development within Melbourne’s Bourke Street Mall in over 50 years. A key milestone in revitalising one of the city’s most prominent retail and cultural precincts.

Developed by Steadfast Capital and built by Hickory, Melbourne Walk delivers over 6,000 square metres of premium retail space and 452 hotel rooms. The accommodation will be operated under IHG Hotel & Resorts' first-ever dual-branded hotel in Australia, comprising:

  • Holiday Inn – a mid-scale family-friendly offering
  • Hotel Indigo – an up-scale premium lifestyle hotel

Melbourne Walk also features the flagship store of global sportswear giant JD Sports, further enriching the precinct’s dynamic retail mix.

Launched in 2022, Melbourne Walk was CLI’s first investment alongside Wingate.
