Our flagship fund, the Wingate Investment Partners Trust (WIP) has a long track record of delivering stable returns. As illustrated in the graph, a $100,000 investment in WIP has consistently yielded strong returns that are uncorrelated with traditional investments like Australian equities and high-yield corporate bonds. WIP has also delivered stronger returns than other defensive income yielding investments, such as Australian investment grade corporate bonds.
WIP is Wingate’s flagship fund, leveraging Wingate’s expertise and track record to deliver strong performance for the past two decades. It is targeting high-yield investment returns relatively uncorrelated to volatile asset classes and uncertain financial markets.
The Wingate Property Senior Debt Fund (WPSD) is a specialised property-only senior debt fund, secured by first-ranking mortgages with conservative LVRs. WPSD is an open-ended fund.
Our corporate credit funds target middle-market private debt opportunities. The Funds have a demonstrated track record of strong risk-adjusted returns, achieving IRR of >12% since inception, with further equity upside from warrants.
At Wingate, our co-investors can participate in a range of tailored direct investment opportunities. These opportunities, guided by our expert team, are developed to align with our valued partners’ unique needs and requirements, whilst benefiting our co-investors simultaneously.
Australia’s private credit market has become a crucial component of the nation’s financial ecosystem, offering alternative financing avenues to businesses, property developments and infrastructure projects.
With global private credit reaching $1.4 trillion in 2023 (compared to $875 billion in 2020) and projected to hit $2.3 trillion by 20271, its importance is undeniable.
While the US and parts of Europe see private credit comprising up to 50% of market lending, Australia presents a vast opportunity in its early infancy, with private institutions contributing only 10% of market lending2.
Australia’s private credit market is highly diverse, comprising corporate lending, commercial property financing, infrastructure debt, asset-based lending, and structured credit. Each segment attracts specialised lenders catering to different industries and risk-return profiles.
Wingate is leading the way in Australia, offering bespoke solutions in both the corporate and property sectors. Utilising diverse investment strategies on each deal, Wingate aims to deliver strong returns to its co-investors while effectively managing risk.
