Farrel founded Wingate in 2004 after a successful career as an investment banker, including positions as head of ANZ Private Bank and Group Managing Director of Investec Bank (Australia) Ltd.
Recognised as one of Australia’s outstanding specialised financial service innovators and business builders, Farrel’s experience spans property investment & financing, listed equities, corporate and consumer debt and private equity.
Farrel serves on several boards, investment & risk management committees and is an advisor to and confidant of many of Australia’s substantial private investment groups and families. He credits Wingate’s success to it having been guided by a measured approach to risk and a deep sense of responsibility to co-investors, partners and clients.
Eric Williamson is a seasoned executive with international experience in the financial services industry. Eric spent the bulk of his career at National Australia Bank, where he held various positions including Group Treasurer, Chief Risk Officer – Corporate & Institutional and EGM Corporate Finance. Eric began his career with Arthur Anderson in Edinburgh and Melbourne followed by corporate finance positions at Close Brothers and Royal Bank of Scotland. Most recently, Eric served as a Senior Advisor to Cerberus Capital Management with active involvement in strategy and acquisition activity and a Board member of various financial services portfolio companies.
Eric was appointed as CEO of Wingate in March 2022. In this role, Eric is responsible for the overall strategic management of Wingate, its growth aspirations and leadership of its people

Adam has vast experience in financial management, corporate governance, accounting, taxation, investment structuring and private equity investing.
Adam spent the early part of his career as a manager at leading national accounting and tax firm, Pitcher Partners, following which he was Group Financial Controller at Jagen, one of Australia’s largest family offices. In addition to group financial management and control, Adam was responsible for the management of Jagen’s private equity investment portfolio.
Adam is responsible for Wingate’s financial management, taxation and regulatory compliance, operational risk management as well the Group’s statutory and secretarial functions.
Mark Harrison has over twenty-five years of experience in the Australian property & property finance sectors and has been Managing Director, property at Wingate for over fourteen years.
Mark’s extensive experience in property includes direct property investment, development, and structured capital transactions, both as principal and lender.
Having joined Wingate in 2008, Mark has overseen the growth of the property division into one of Australia’s most active property debt and equity platforms.

Erin is a marketing and communications leader with broad exposure across financial and professional services. Experienced in integrated marketing communications campaigns ranging from mainstream advertising and brand through to external affairs and stakeholder relations, Erin is known for creating value through marketing and aligning brand strategy to commercial outcomes.
Prior to joining Wingate, Erin was Director of Financial Advisory Marketing and Communications at PwC Australia.

Michael has more than 25 years’ financial services experience, including senior executive roles with Investec Bank Australia Limited and ANZ Private Bank. Before joining Wingate, Michael was executive director with a privately owned Australian high net worth family office with significant global assets under management across diverse businesses and industry sectors.
Michael was also one of the founders of Openpay Pty Ltd, a leading provider of buy now, pay later solutions in the retail, automotive, health and home improvement sectors.

Steven Hur is a seasoned investment professional with more than 20 years of experience in portfolio management, credit investment, product development and institutional sales. Prior to joining Wingate, Steven was Head of Credit Research and Portfolio Manager in the Global Fixed Income division of AMP Capital, managing multi-billion-dollar global credit funds and leading a global investment team. Prior to that, Steven was a credit analyst at Schroders covering Asia-Pacific corporates and an investment analyst at Absolute Capital specialised in structured credit.
Among Steven’s professional accomplishments, the $1.3 billion global credit fund that he led at AMP Capital was awarded the best performing fixed income fund in the Japan market by Reuters Lipper in 2016 and 2017, and Morningstar in 2016 and 2019.
At Wingate, Steven manages the flagship Wingate Investment Partners Trust (WIP), the Wingate Property Senior Debt Fund (WPSD) and plays a key role across the firm’s investment committees, product origination and development, and co-investor, channel partner and market engagement strategies.

Nick Jacobson is a highly regarded property and finance expert with more than 30 years of industry experience. Prior to joining Wingate, Nick was the Founder and Managing Director of CapStra, a leading independent Australian real estate financier and advisory firm.
Nick’s experience spans the full range of real estate capital and advisory solutions from financing to deal origination, structuring, development expertise, credit underwriting, and acquisition and divestment services. He has significant international experience with leading global investment banks across Australia, Europe and Asia, including as Chairman of Real Estate and Head of Investment Banking Services at Goldman Sachs Australia.
At Wingate, Nick is a joint Managing Director of the property business, responsible for driving growth and strategy, particularly in institutional funding solutions and capital partnerships.

Adrian has over 20 years of experience in financial markets and the investments industry.
His career includes roles at Morgan Stanley, Credit Suisse, Perpetual and National Australia Bank spanning over London, Singapore and Melbourne.
Adrian’s strengths come from the diversity of his experiences across multiple asset classes, dealing with different cultures and his proven ability to grow business markets.

Larry is an experienced, accomplished and highly regarded business leader with a career spanning over 25 years in financial and professional services.
He was previously CFO of HBF Health Insurance and also the former CFO and Deputy CEO of GESB, Western Australia’s largest, locally based superannuation fund, managing an investment portfolio of over $19 billion on behalf of over 330,000 members. Larry led significant structural change at GESB and provided strategic oversight and governance across the Fund. He worked with the Link Group, on the acquisition and integration of Superpartners, which provides outsourced administration services to the Industry Superannuation Funds.
Larry has worked both in Australia and internationally and was with PwC prior to joining GESB in 2004. He has a well developed understanding of the corporate and government sectors and has served on both commercial and not for profit boards. In 2008, he was awarded CFO of the Year by the Institute of Public Administration in Australia (WA) and is past President of the Carmel School Board.

Charles is an accomplished corporate lawyer with extensive experience in private practice and in-house roles in Australia and the United States, including at Ashurst, National Australia Bank, AIA Australia and Weil, Gotshal & Manges.
Charles’ experience extends across a broad range of industry sectors and jurisdictions with a focus on finance, mergers and acquisitions and general corporate law.
Charles leads Wingate’s legal, risk & compliance team and is responsible for governance, legal risk management and provision of legal services across the Group.

Sarah Lamb is a human resources executive with extensive experience in financial and professional services in Australia and the UK. Prior to joining Wingate, Sarah was the Head of HR at QMS Media and held several senior HR roles at Pitcher Partners.
Sarah’s background includes experience with M&A, leadership development, organisational design, employee engagement, and cultural development.
Sarah is responsible for the overall people and culture strategy at Wingate.
Selwyn has over 20 years’ experience in property and corporate finance in Australia and internationally. His extensive experience includes credit risk approval, credit portfolio management as well as the management of distressed corporate and property debt and equity portfolios.
Selwyn has experience in driving performance and corporate turnarounds at board level in Australia, New Zealand, and the UK.

James has significant experience in corporate finance, investment structuring and private equity investing.
James spent the early part of his career in corporate finance both in the UK and Australia, working for Citigroup in London. Following which he was Senior Investment Director at Ingenious Group, a UK based alternative private equity boutique where he managed a number of structured and private equity funds.
James is responsible for Wingate’s corporate development and group strategy functions.
Geoff has an extensive commercial background spanning more than 40 years. His executive experience has been gained within the financial services industry, in Australia and a number of other countries including Hong Kong, USA and UK. For the past eighteen years, he has been active as a non-executive director covering a broad range of industries including banking/wealth management, property and property maintenance, technology, spring water bottling and distribution, and mining services and infrastructure.

Franco joined Wingate in 2006 as a founding partner and, together with Farrel Meltzer, pioneered and guided the success of the Firm over almost two decades.
Through the course of his career, Franco initiated, advised on and completed transactions valued at many billions of dollars in corporate finance, mergers & acquisitions and capital markets.
Franco’s role at Wingate included advising large families, private and public companies on local and cross-border transactions, and overseeing and managing the Firm’s corporate development, financing, balance sheet and capital management requirements and activities.
Prior to joining Wingate, Franco was a partner at PwC for 18 years and a key member of the PwC Corporate Finance team. In 2022, Franco became a Non-Executive Director of Wingate and continues as a member on a number of Wingate boards, investment and risk committees.
Shahen has been involved in the field of finance and investment banking for over 30 years. He holds a Bachelor of Economics (Sydney University) and Master of Economics (Macquarie University). He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Registered Company Auditor, Chartered Tax Adviser and a member of the Taxation Institute of Australia.
Shahen joined Babcock & Brown in 1989, and was admitted as an International Partner in 1993. He specialized in structuring and arranging large scale domestic and cross border financing opportunities, with particular emphasis on equipment, power and energy and property projects. He retired from his directorship duties at Babcock & Brown soon after the company’s float in 2005.
Today Shahen is involved in a number of property development ventures and corporate investments and is currently a Director of Liquid Capital Management (Australasia) Pty Ltd where he heads his own advisory business specializing in structured finance transactions.
Shahen also has extensive experience in various aspects of TV and Film production in Australia, and is a Director at Sunstar Entertainment where he has been an Executive Producer for each of their feature films. The most prominent engagement in this area was his role as Executive Producer in the Oscar nominated film production of “Lion”.
David is a leading apparel entrepreneur and businessman. David’s family interests have included market dominant businesses in jeanswear, workwear and corporate clothing.
He commenced his career in 1981 as a trainee at clothing manufacturer Yakka Pty Ltd. In 1994 David established Icon Clothing Pty Ltd which became one of Australia’s leading jeanswear companies, marketing and selling its products in Australia, New Zealand and internationally
Icon Clothing and Yakka were sold to Pacific Brands Ltd in March 2007. David manages his family interests including investments in apparel, property, equities and fixed income.

Antony is a globally focussed Commercial Senior Executive with 32 years of experience. During his 28 years at KPMG he held positions as a partner including Head of Valuations, Head of Mergers & Acquisitions, Head of Industry Restructuring & Privatisation, Head of Energy & Natural Resources and a member of the Board. He was also CFO of Better Place Australia – an electric vehicle recharge network operator for three years and then its CEO. Antony has world recognised industry experience in energy and utilities along with many other industries including mining, retail, airlines, transport and logistics, media, manufacturing and real estate. He has played many community roles including Council member and former Treasurer of Bialik College; two terms as a Council member of Questacon, the National science and technology centre; former Member of the Solar Flagships Council; Former Director of the Australia Israel Chamber of Commerce and Chairman of AUSiMED (current).

Ron is the founder and former Senior Partner of Pitcher Partners, Australia’s leading and most prominent mid-market accounting and tax practice. Prior to the founding of Pitcher Partners, Ron was Deputy Managing Partner of KPMG, Melbourne. He has over fifty years of experience in the accounting and business advisory professions, having advised and been counsel to some of Australia’s largest family businesses. Ron has served on the boards of several listed and private companies in the roles of Chairman and Chair of Audit and Remuneration Committees. Ron’s key areas of expertise include audit, business and financial advisory and counsel, in a vast array of sectors, including financial services, manufacturing, service industries, wholesale, import, retail and agriculture.

Scott Keck is Chairman of Charter Keck Cramer, a leading Australian independent, strategic property consulting firm. Scott has 48 years property valuation and Corporate Real Estate experience across the national markets. He is frequently engaged as a senior negotiator in complex commercial and statutory issues related to the property market and for advice in relation to large portfolio valuations for major statutory and private corporations. He has consulted to many corporate clients on asset acquisition and disposal and accommodation solutions. He regularly appears as an expert witness in litigation proceedings. Scott has a strong understanding of corporate governance, accountability, growth strategies and operations.
Jeff has more than 25 years’ experience in property finance and associated areas during which time he has built an outstanding track record in meeting clients’ objectives. He spent 10 years with BankWest and was responsible for establishing the successful BankWest Property Finance Unit in Perth in 1995.
He spent several years as a Director at Ashe Morgan Winthrop where he established the company’s structured finance capability in Melbourne and its national commercial property lending business under a CMBS program. Prior to founding Cohenca Consulting, Jeff was Division Director Real Estate Structured Finance at Macquarie Group.
Matt is a thirty-year veteran of the leasing industry and pioneered the novated car lease as a popular employee benefit. Matt founded fleet manager nlc in 1990 and was Managing Director until 2015 when he sold the company to the listed SG Fleet Group. Matt continues to be involved in the industry and is Chairman of NALSPA, an industry group representing the interests of fleet managers and the salary packaging industry of Australia. Matt has strong executive experience in leasing, insurance and consumer finance.
Matt’s career has also included experience in the mining sector. Matt is Director and major shareholder of Kalamazoo Resources, a listed gold and base metals explorer. Matt is also the Director and major shareholder of North Rossa; a company that is developing export opportunities of reclamation sand to the Asian market.
Matt is chairman of the Reinehr Family Foundation which seeks to partner with charitable organisations addressing youth homelessness, domestic violence and early intervention programs to help at-risk youth.
