The Wingate Corporate Credit Fund participates in high-quality primary debt and secondary debt investments. Sourced from Wingate’s deep networks, the Fund provides access for investors to private debt, leveraging the opportunity in today’s dislocated market environment.

Investment Opportunity

The Wingate Corporate Credit Fund (WCCF) is an investment fund that co-invests alongside the Shareholders, Directors, and Management of Wingate, creating a powerful alignment of private investors.

The fund invests in:

  1. Primary debt: lending to mid-market businesses in Australia and New Zealand. In the current environment, more companies are seeking debt capital, while fewer financiers are able to provide it. Due to scarcity of capital, WCCF expects to deliver compelling risk-adjusted returns (and, in some cases, equity upside) for loans of similar risk prior to the crisis.
  2. Secondary debt: purchasing existing debt securities in the market at a discount. Many securities have become mispriced as forced sellers exacerbate downward price movements into a market with few buyers. Due to the downturn in credit markets, WCCF can acquire the debt in high-quality companies at compelling prices.

WCCF seeks to capitalise on the acute demand/supply imbalance combined with the illiquidity in the market by identifying attractive, high-quality debt investments to generate compelling risk-adjusted returns for investors.
