Wingate provides debt and equity solutions to well run, dynamic businesses offering them capital and funding for growth, working capital needs, acquisitions and loan book funding.

Portfolio includes:

  • Forum – an innovative and expanding technology solutions business. Provision of working capital for growth and senior debt funding to facilitate the acquisition of a competitor;
  • Cherry Bridge Station – an operator of state-of-the-art early learning and child care centres. Provision of a senior debt bridging facility to fund the acquisition of franchise operations in advance of the sale of Cherry Bridge Station to a listed multinational operator;
  • Hub Australia – national provider of co-working office space. Acquisition of a significant shareholding in Hub by Wingate providing equity capital to enable a nationwide expansion;
  • Medical Media – fastest growing point-of-care media and technology company in Australia. Acquisition of a significant shareholding in Medical Media by providing equity to fund a merger with a leading industry participant, as well as further debt capital to support growth;
  • Life Health Foods – a UK based partnership between Wingate and Sanitarium, one of Australia’s leading consumer product businesses. Wingate provided seed equity capital to establish the business together with debt funding to support growth;
  • NOW FINANCE  – a leading non-bank personal loan specialist with multiple distribution channels and a state-of-the-art technology platform. Provision of equity capital to build the business together with ongoing debt funding to support the growth of the loan book.

Kevin Wunsh

Kevin has over 20 years’ experience working in Australia and internationally in investment management, corporate advisory and strategy with a particular focus on private equity.

Kevin started his career as a corporate lawyer at Herbert Smith Freehills, and has held roles at AT Kearney, Babcock & Brown and was a founding Director of Alceon.

Michael Kurland

Director, Corporate Investments

Michael is a specialist in private equity and structured finance. He previously spent 14 years at Investec Bank (South Africa and London) as a senior banker primarily in the Specialised Finance and Lending Divisions.

Michael is a qualified Chartered Accountant (South African Institute of Chartered Accountants) as well as a CFA Charterholder (CFA Institute, USA).

Franco Dogliotti

Franco has over the past 23 years initiated, advised on and closed transactions valued at many billions of dollars in corporate finance, mergers & acquisitions and capital markets. Franco’s experience includes advising large privately owned businesses as well as national and multi-national public corporations on both local and cross-border transactions.

Prior to joining Wingate, Franco was a partner at PwC for 18 years and a leading member of the firm’s Corporate Finance team.
